LOST

Today I had nothing to blog about. I realized that I was so... so... lost. haha Which gave me the idea to do a short blog devoted to the television show Lost. This summer my brother Bradford told me to watch some lost so I was like, sure whatever. Thinking nothing of it and not realizing that I was going to be devoting my whole summer to the series!! Lost is a show about a group of people who get in a plane crash and are deserted on an island and strange things happen.... that's pretty much all I can say about the plot without giving the whole amazingness away!! I watched all 6 seasons this summer. Indeed, it was time well spent. And since coming to college I have passed on the Lost legacy on to my roommate Emma who is currently watching all of the seasons :) I encourage all people everywhere to watch this show. At least the first season! (but even if you only watch the first season you will become HOOKED!!) I hope that this post inspires you :) A few Lost quotes I love:

"Live together or die alone"-Jack
"4,8,15,16,23,42"
"Jack when will you realize, I always have a plan"-Ben
"Juliet's the BOMB!!"- Bradford :)
"Everything happens for a reason"

I LOVE LOST!!! Not only is it a great show with many twists and turns, but it also gives a great insight in the end and has some awesome life lessons about second chances. I just love this show...a lot. :)

Pure Happiness

So last night while driving back to Provo from my house I was reminded of the happiest part of my whole high school experience. Katelyn, Sara, Alyssa, and I watched So You Think You Can Dance all the way up until the end of the season. The eve of the Finale approached and we all got together to watch it at Katelyns house. I tell ya, these girls bring out the best fool in me. haha We ended up dancing to it and replaying every dance about 10 times until we had bits and pieces of them memorized. Then Jeanine won the whole thing! It was wonderful and fantastic :) We then proceeded to head up to the boulevard, blast music from my car and dance for all to see! People would drive by and look at us like we were freaks, but we didn't mind :) Then we turned on music from the dances of the finale and we'd do the moves and got carpets out of the back of my car and started doing moves onto them! It was fantastic. Then we did..."The Big Dipper" move and all busted up laughing until one of my friends went off and peed her pants and there was just a pool of pee around her on the sidewalk of Bountiful Boulevard. It was so so funny. After that we put a carpet in the back seat of my car and made my friend sit on it. We didn't even take her home! I have no idea what we were thinking. We then went to Dicks Market and just played around the store and looked at hilarious birthday cards.
Jeanine and Phillip doing hip hop :) yes, I do know a lot of these moves :)

I don't know why this memory just makes me think pure happiness, but it is. That and laying out on Camies roof every day the summer of Sophomore year and then going to the park with the group and good ole Janna. Oh, the days of High School and craziness. haha I miss those girls a lot and how much fun we all used to have together.

This wasn't from the same season...but I just love how cute this dance is. It made me fall in love with this song!! "Ordinary Day"

And Alyssa, this one is for you :) I can't believe Janna gave us such weird looks as we wanted to sing and dance to this in her car... I mean.. It's a perfectly normal thing to do. "Gravity"

I know it's a lot of links and I stink at putting up the actual videos on here which would be easier... but here's one more :) "Battlefield". I can just picture us doing these moves :) love it!

Adventures! Plus Lessons Learned

Yesterday was quite a day. I got my Allred tickets, watched two movies with Alyssa, and then things got a little weird. I didn't have any plans for last night which was sad and everyone who I tried to hang out with couldn't, so I decided just to go to our building Christmas party. Which is sayin something...haha jk. At the Christmas party Buster thought it would be SO funny if he shoved a little white cotten ball in my mouth.

Exibit A

The Culprit himself before the crime. We are all such great Reindeer :)
After they had their kicks of tying me down and we watched as Elizabeth finished our room stalking, Geoff and Ryan came over and a group of us hopped in my car. We just drove around for a bit not doing anything, but I hate driving without a purpose! So we ended up going to a park and played on the playground and played a little soccer, which is always fun for me :) Then we went back, tried to play the stick pull game, but the broom broke. So we headed off in Geoffs car on a crazy adventure which I will tell you about...

So last night... I learned a few lessons. Allow me share them with you :)
  1. Although fitting 9 people in a 5 seater car sounds like a perfectly reasonable thing to do and it can be quite fun at first, it turns out not to be so much fun and you get squished.... A LOT! haha
  2. Leaving to hang out should start early. Doing strange things and then finally deciding on a plan at 12 pm means that you get back late and are therefore extremely tired in the morning.
  3. From now on, drive with a destination in mind. Driving around hopelessly trying to find a place to light a fire for two hours in a tight car can be a bit tiresome.
  4. Rachel loves fire. Something about it just flips her world upside down. haha I don't think they have fires in Mesa...because this fire and getting wood for it was a BIG DEAL to Rachel. Especially around 3:30 in the morning :) WOOD WOMAN FOR LIFE!! haha jk. We love you Rachel.
  5. Using hand sanatizer can greatly improve the life of your fire.
  6. There is a canyon that looks exactly like Mueller Park canyon down in Springfield, UT. Except there are no firepits and you have to drive through snow in order to get to the desired spot.
  7. Falling asleep in a packed car is...interesting. Picture this: 5-seater car, 9 people, people stacked in the back, the floor in all it's wonder is the one spot that is open, so I slide down into the crevice and take on the fetal position and try and sleep in the tiny spot as we drive around searching for the perfect fire spot.
  8. Geoff is awesome. I think we all can agree after last night that Geoff is a champ. He drove around all night, got us back before 4:30 and did not fall asleep at the wheel, and he pretty much got the fire going. We owe ya Geoff.
  9. I am not a very good party-into-the-wee-hours-of-the-morning type of person. Once 3 hit I was done. haha I had fun for sure, but then we started getting cold and I swore I was going to fall asleep standing up next to the fire. I don't do well staying up late and I'm surprised I'm not a grumpy bear this morning. What a grand surprise to have Eric poking me waking me up this morning because he's mean and didn't want me to sleep in :(
  10. If you go to bed smelling like fire, it doesn't magically disappear. You wake up smelling like fire. haha

Here are some pictures from last night :)

look! I found me!

FIRE!!!!!

......BOYS ARE WEIRD......and L for loss...

As you can see from the title, this post is called boys are weird. Which they are. This  about sums it up... .http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gsqh5R3Moc  I just love that movie!! haha And it explains it perfectly...boys are weird!! haha jk. Boys can be great and I love 'em. :) I just wanted an excuse to show the clip from Little Rascals :)
Anyways, we played in the semis tonight! And lost....but it was a lot of fun and I had a pretty good game with a bunch of REALLY close shots that just got me sooo frustrated. We are taking our loss in a positive light. We played hard. I just love having a good time with the team and I'm glad we could make it that far. Although, there was some bias in the reffing.... seeing as the ref was dating one of the girls on the other team!! (GASP) haha what a scandal!! But after the loss we had some fun kick around time and took our new photo. Kinda depressing, because we put an L on our heads for Loss... but at least we have good attitudes. We'll say it means... Glee. :)  Today was a bit rough for me with the loss and being confuzzled by people (yes that's a mix between confused and puzzled), but I'll get over it. Hope you all are having a fantastic week :) PS I'm gettin my Allred tickets tomorrow! So I'm super excited about that. And then I have nothing all weekend! I mean.. I'm so popular that I'm booked every night... haha lies. In the words of a book that forever been in my heart.... Goodnight Moon :)

Copy Cat

So basically I am not an artist. Not one bit. People can judge that I'm not an artist just by looking at my handwritting. They look at it and go, "wait, were you writing with you left hand?" No. My handwritting is just naturally crappy. I blame Mrs. Barthalowmew of the 1st grade. Although, my dad does have pretty illegible handwritting as well. Anywho, I am not an artist and can't draw anything from memory, but one thing I've LOVED doing lately is copying. Every day in my Student Development class I pull out my phone, get a picture up on it, and draw that picture. I don't know where it all started. It may have originated from watching Carson and his mad drawing skills and me wishing I was a Da Vinci as well. So now, I'm a fake one. A mere copy cat. Here are my drawings thus far:

Alyssa and I have a shared joy in the cartoon Phineas and Ferb.
We just think it is hilarious! Everyone needs to have a basic
knowledge of it sometime in their life.

This one I copied from a picture of a puzzle on my phone!

Curious George :)

Scooby Doo!!

Pocahontas has always been one of my favorite Disney movies!

These are the only things I've done semi- okay on using free-hand.
The eye really creeps me out...

My favorite thing on YouTube. Oh and we are fat.

So my favorite thing on YouTube at the moment is a wonderful thing called Kid History :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80entLldZOg

It is just the epitome of happiness. Their voices matched their mouths so good!! "Don't punch...our car" haha I can't stop quoting this!!

Oh and we are fat. haha We went to the Cannon Center tonight and we gorged ourselves!! We all had like 5 plates (some of us had 7) and as we were leaving some people there said, "Did you see? They all had like 8 plates" haha so i guess we are fattys!! It's not our fault we don't eat there every day! And when we do go there we gotta fill up! Put on some weight for hibernation over Christmas Break! Ah I can't wait for that break! I'm just so excited to see friends, hot tub, and Christmas with the fam :) Christmas' with our family have made me the happiest I've ever been in my life! I just love the spirit and the love in our home the whole month of Christmas :) And we are going to the Christmas Carol on monday at Hale Center Theater! I love it!

W for win!!

Woo!! And it's another W for the Ladies!! haha Our intramural team is currently unbeatable and we love it :) I think we get quite cocky as we celebrate our victories over facebook and such, but really...we are awesome so we can have have a little bit of bragging rights. We won our game last night 3-2! We probably should have won about 6 to 0 but we couldn't get the ball in the dang net!! And we just laughed when we'd make dumb mistakes. It was not very serious, but we still got a win and got to have a lot of fun against the PINK JELLO!! haha I had this one really sweet shot that was ALMOST a goal with my left foot from the outside. I don't think I have ever kicked that hard in my life! But the crossbar happened to want to block my shot. Along with 2 others. Darn you crossbar...I will defeat you next game :)

After the game we all hung around and took our team photo as always! We take a picture after every game and I just love it. After the picture we were just chatting about the game and the teams we had left to play and then we saw them... our next competition. They were playing the game after ours so Brog and Mykol stayed to "scout them out". Their reports show that the team is decent and definitely better than the team we played last night. So we will face off with them TOMORROW! So intense... We say that we aren't WAY into this intramural thing and we joke around a lot...but we really do want to win it! We constantly talk about getting the t-shirts and about afterparties that we may have in order to celebrate our impending championship like bowling or laser tagging. haha I just love my intramural team. I'm so happy that I still get to play with those girls that I miss so much from club soccer :) I just miss playing period. If anyone is doing an indoor league?? Count me in. But until then... Intramural Semi Finals here we come!!
